Engine Protection Bars	These bars protect the engine and the frame in case of a tip-over or hard knock. I recommend this level of protection for all levels of off-road riding. Buy or check out specs here
Skid Plate	Protect the underside of your engine from rock and roots. I use a Wunderlich skid plate, and you can find other well-made brands here as well to fit most bikes. Buy or check out specs here
Barkbusters Aluminum Hand Guards	These do a great job at protecting handlebar controls, specifically clutch & front brake levers and associated cables. They also make great hold points for lifting a downed bike. I wouldn’t ride without these. Buy or check out specs here
Barkbusters Variable Protection System Handguards	These wind deflectors attach to the Barkbusters Aluminum Hand Guards and provide wind and weather protection for your hands. Great to deflect the elements and allow for a more comfortable ride. Buy or check out specs here
Battery Tender	The battery will lose power if a bike is not started for a while. A battery tender can fully charge a battery and maintain it during the off-season. Buy or check out specs here

Gas Tank Pads	Tank pads offer paint protection from the inside of your riding pants rubbing against the tank. Simultaneously, they offer a bit of grip for us to hold onto over rocky and bumpy trails. I have tried a few different brands over the years with success. Buy or check out specs here

BMW AirFlow Jacket	This is my go-to jacket for commuting and touring. Lightweight with lots of mesh for warm weather and CE-rated protective padding right where it should be. Buy or check out specs here
Alpinestars Bionic Action Jacket	This protection jacket is lightweight, breathable, and provides great CE-certified padding. It fits easily under a riding jersey to provide exceptional freedom of movement. I wear this for all off-road riding. Buy or check out specs here

Knox Knee Guards	Wearing knee guards under riding trousers provides secure and comfortable knee protection. During tip-overs, in-trouser padding may shift slightly, however these knee guards stay in place! Buy or check out specs here
Sedici Mesh Pants	I wear a retried model of mesh riding trousers from Sedici. The features I look for include maximum airflow, lightweight, and non-restrictive when worn over armored shorts and knee pads. Buy or check out specs here
SIDI Adventure 2 Gore-Tex Boots	These gore-tex riding boots are waterproof and rise up a bit taller than other boots for added protection. They are a non-booty style and comfortable to walk around in during coffee breaks. Bonus … they don’t squeak when you walk. Buy or check out specs here
Motorcycle Boots GS Competition BMW	These GS competition riding boots are made for off-road and enduro riding. I use them for technical rocky rides when I want a bit more protection.
